Not every warehouse task should be automated on day one. Start with workflows that are repetitive, rule-based, and painful when done manually — but keep humans in the loop for posting, approvals, and exceptions.
1. Low-stock and minimum-quantity alerts
An agent monitors WMS or ERP stock levels against min qty rules, compiles a prioritized buy list, and routes it to procurement before a line stops. This is often the fastest win — no UI rebuild required, just reliable data access and notification rules.
2. Daily KPI summary reports
Instead of someone exporting three systems every morning, an agent pulls transactions, stock value, overdue issues, and fill-rate exceptions into one summary — emailed or posted to a dashboard by 7 AM.
3. Overdue tool and asset return reminders
For industrial stores tracking tools: flag active issues past due date, notify the holder and supervisor, and escalate after N days. Warehouse Pro already tracks overdue tools; an agent layer automates the follow-up sequence.
4. GR and invoice exception routing
When a goods receipt quantity, price, or part number does not match the PO, route the exception to the right buyer or storekeeper with context — instead of sitting in a shared inbox.
5. Duplicate and mismatch detection on uploads
Teams still upload Excel stock takes or vendor lists. An agent compares uploads against master data, flags duplicates and unknown part numbers, and proposes corrections before anything posts to ERP.
